I’m wanting to cross train into the medical field to get my EMT/Paramedic certification and hopefully become a flight medic. I’m wondering if the Aerospace medical service has any specialty jobs/duties like security forces has k9 CATOM Raven DAGR ect? Also any tips would be greatly appreciated. What special duties are available for Aerospace medical service? 2018-08-02T08:35:45-04:00 A1C Private RallyPoint Member 3846638 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I’m currently in the Air Force as a security forces member and just hit my 2 year out of my 4 year enlistment. If you’re looking at what we do as certified flight paramedics on the outside, you will not find it as a Aeromedical Evacuation Technician in the Air Force (except in a very rare occasion). If you want to something comparable, blue to green, 68W to 68W(F). I haven’t found a job in the AF medical svcs as rewarding as Flying MedEvac on the outside, but my wife and kids have some good benefits. I’ve got to see some palaces and I’ve learned how much frustration a person can tolerate trying to remain relevant in high acuity medicine. Again, some folks love it, but once I saw what most of it was (not what I’d imagined), I stopped pursuing it.
