Issue is My current section is notable told and sometimes pressured/forced to start normal operations during Breakfast Hours, in of which isn't always "Mission Critical". As a Meal Card holder, What supporting documents may I use to show that as a Meal Card Holder I'm allowed to even go to the Dining Facility during such and such hours. (This isn't the first time this has occurred, nor do I think it'll be the last).

First you address it with your direct supervisor. If they don't give you a satisfactory answer, then you go up the next level. By the time it hits the 1SG someone should have fixed it and informed your section leadership that they are obligated to provide time for you to eat.

SGT Derick J. then you keep going up until it's at the CSM level. You are absolutely entitled to go to the SFAC during meal hours or else your unit has to provide you with MREs or something similar. Otherwise you are entitled to receive that part of your BAS paid back.

Honestly, working in a small section, your NCOIC and staff are probably not thinking about chow hours like a line leader with multiple joes on meal cards. I would just say you're on a meal card and ask what is the plan for your morning meal. In line units this is stuff NCOs are all over. The choices are for you to file a missed meal / put you on separate rations and you get your own, they give you food / an MRE or release you during DFAC hours to eat... but it's not your choice to make.

LTC (Join to see) - I could request for separate rations, but simply because I reside in the military living quarters that wouldn't be approved unless for some reason I had a valid excuse as to why I deserve to receive my full amount of BAS, other than that it was a (chuckle) followed by a No. The missed vouchers, nobody knew how or to who to turn it in to so that got no where, but I'll keep trying.
Surprisingly this week My section managed to create a meal rotation for everyone which in mind is exactly what I've been trying to tell them from the beginning, but with little to no hope came results. I'd like to see who listened to who for that matter.

SGT Derick J. - It sounds like you asking for separate rations / missed meals started a conversation with your leadership to make them rotate folks to chow.

I do not remember the form number but there is a "missed meal voucher" form. Sgart filling one out every single time you are forced to miss a meal. The CoC will get the hint pretty damned quick.

SGT Derick J. Send it up through the chain. There are two purposes. First is to get you back the money that is being deducted for chow that you are not being allowed to eat. The second is to raise awareness of the problem. The second goal is only achieved if the paperwork is SEEN.

I highly doubt I'd ever get my money back for the days I never had an actual chance to go to the Dining Facility, but I'll put in the paperwork and see where it takes me through the proper channels. Aside from that, at least the leaders of My section started responding to our concerns which is a start.
