I got my ASUs ready for the Engineer Ball this weekend so it wouldn't be a last minute thing. A member of my unit recently passed away and I wore my uniform to the memorial service and burial. I managed to get something (food I think) on my jacket sleeve and did not have time to get it dry cleaned in my small town before the event. They told me it would be 2 to 3 weeks before they came back! Looking for any tips you may have that would help. I never buy dry clean only items.

Depending on what it is and how much, use carbonated water.

So what was the outcome? I always used tide pens on my suits, but the carbonated water sounds interesting too.

The carbonated water took whatever it was out Sir. I dabbed it with a lint free cloth and let it dry. Followed up with a lint roller to the whole uniform and it looked great. The engineer ball was a really neat experience except for the blisters! But all's well that ends well.

For food and organic stains, oxygen bleach works best.

SGT (Join to see) just remember to rinse the oxygen bleach thoroughly with water after or it will leave a white mark.
