What to do when saying goodbye?

- When your pet is old give it some love, because sometimes you never know when to say good bye.
- If a loved one is deploying make sure you say a sincere good bye.
- If loved ones are traveling don't forget to say good bye.
- If a loved one is fighting a terminal disease, help them get confidence to say good bye.

You just never know when you might have to say good bye.

Tell them, or better yet do something that you enjoy doing together. I can think of no better way to say good bye than have the last memory be a happy one.

This is really eye opening, the different ways. Emotional. I applaud the military vets and their families and am always amazed at how strong you are.

Last words I ever spoke to my father: "I love you. Good-bye." There was nothing left to say or do. It was a great way to depart with him.

I know what it means to say goodbye because at an early age of eighteen, I held many of my fellow Marines, my brothers in arms, my friends in my arms in Vietnam and said "Goodbye my Friend.' But even after all those years, I still say Goodbye and one of my hardest was when my mom passed away. I was holding her in my arms and when she let go of that last breath, I kissed her on the forehead and said "Goodbye mom, I love you!" I didn't cry and all I thought was that God gave me a gift, a miracle if you will, because my mom was holding me when I came into this world and I was holding her when she left. The true Circle of Life!
