Pretty much depends on the class structure and the numbers that have been filled to have a complete class, no set ratio that I have ever known of.

2. There have been NCOs attending for decades, back when I attended PLDC in 1985, I had an E6 in my class, that would never happen today, but having NCOs attend WLC is not unusual.

3. Is Indiantown Gap still open, one of my ex-GF's went there for PLDC in 1989, I thought they closed that place in the mid-90s.

4. Whatever you have lack of confidence on or in, you should have received a briefing from your BN CSM or BDE CSM on what to study and prepare for as they are the ones that approve your packets and get the notices from the schools on curriculum and requirements.

Hope that helps some and good luck.
SFC James Baber Fri, 21 Mar 2014 02:41:40 -0400 2014-03-21T02:41:40-04:00 Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 21 at 2014 5:57 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-to-prepare-for-when-attending-wlc?n=81261&urlhash=81261

It has been a minute since I went to WLC, but from my experience, here are my answers:

1) The ratio was pretty decent between SGTs and SPCs. We did have one SSG in my class, but he was allowed to promote to SSG due to deployments. I have heard of PFCs going to WLC, but I personally never saw any.

2) It was the same for those who attended as a SPC compared to those who attended as a SGT. If anything, they expect you to have more experience and knowledge than the SPCs in class, but you are all treated exactly the same. Rank doesn't matter at NCOES.

3) I attended at Ft. Campbell, KY.

4) Make sure you are able to perform basic Soldier tasks. You will get detailed blocks of instruction while in class that will help you with everything you need to do. What I would recommend most is that you are able to perform to standard on the APFT, especially the push-ups. They are strict and grade exactly to standard, no slack.
SFC Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 21 Mar 2014 17:57:31 -0400 2014-03-21T17:57:31-04:00 Response by WO1 Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 21 at 2014 10:11 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-to-prepare-for-when-attending-wlc?n=81428&urlhash=81428

As I have nothing to offer to this thread, I appreciate the fact that you asked about it, so I can always take some information from it.
