Breaking up a workout over the course of 5 days gives the body the right amount of rest it needs. Personally, I like to work cardio for 3 days, with lifting on the other two. Focusing on different muscle groups each day can maximize the weekly workout. Now I prefer doing my "Up, Out, Pour": Get up, get out of bed and pour my coffee! That's my time for me. I like to lift and do cardio, most of my workout are base around the Squat, Deadlift, Bench Press, Pull up and Shoulder Press. My cardio session short and fast, between 1-4 miles in 6-7 min pace and Hill sprints. I like doing M/W/F weight training and T/Th I like doing TRX training followed up by a short burst of interval cardio training for 15-30min. I take Sat/Sun off to relax. Friday is potluck different exercises to help work weak points. I usually do cardio 3x a week after lifting.
