What was your favorite place that you were stationed(or currently stationed)? What made it your favorite? was it the surrounding local area? on post amenities? different cultural aspects? great unit? close to family? far away from family?

I kept getting stationed in places that made me think I pissed off the branch manager in another life. I would have to say Fort Lewis, WA with Fort Carson being a very close second. I think Carson was more picturesque, but my tiny man loves crab and I could be on the docks crab fishing in Steilacoom in just minutes after work. No Dungies, but lots of Red Rock.

Never stationed here, but grew up 20 miles south of JBLM. Now I'm retired here! Rains a lot in November-April, but other than that it is downright gorgeous, lots to do, hunting, fishing, hiking camping etc etc
