Italy affords you the travel, food and the people were friendly to the military. Military friendly. Great schools for kids. Outstanding recreation year around. Just enough shopping to make it civilized, but still 30 minute drive from true wilderness. Weather about like “Northern Tier” states in lower 48, but somewhat milder than Minot. Friendly people.
