I have waited 8-10 hours before getting the safety brief let alone the actual convoy brief. As a Commo NCO I spent this time going back over everything with the TC's with call signs and check points.

SFC (Join to see) At NTC; long enough for EENT to occur, long enough for the drivers, TCs and everyone else to relax before having Goldstone ruin your night vision, then a short pause, which allowed drivers and TCs to fall asleep thereby totally destroying the 8 mile long convoy's progress! That was a long night movement.

not 7 hours! holy shit. Was this in country? Maybe there was a threat that needed to be mitigated first?

Hard to tell by this picture but in county I have waited 8+ hours and sometimes convoys called off after that long of a wait for threats or intel that was under review first.

This is a photo someone put on face book. My personal record was around 3 hours
