Self discipline
Bar none- Discipline

The military taught me how to be a disciplined individual and how to practice self awareness. Without the military guiding me and teaching me key attributes I would not be as successful as I am today. I learned the concept of discipline and how to practice it. Without being a disciplined individual their would be no way I could perform my current job and be enrolled in an MBA program earning a 3.8 GPA.

What are some of the greatest attributes you gained from your military experience. How has this attribute impacted your life personally and professionally?

Military:
Listening to others. Their ideas and perspective on things. Being able to assertively communicate.

Effective communication

Personally being able to self regulate and help develop my Son for the next adventure in life. He recently got into a University and our relationship although rocky at time is balanced.

That is a very important skill to have and is much easier said than done.

Well to be honest it is or I am a work in progress daily. Yet, I am aware how I speak or not speak (non-verbal) can be a counter productive element in my relationships.
