Mine was the HMS Thistlegorm in the Red Sea, a penetration wreck dive. I was able to dive it twice in the daytime and once as a night dive. The dive inside the wreck take about 25 minutes and is lead by a guide. Visibility was over 100ft and the wreck sat at 100ft deep. The wreck is part of an Egyptian marine park where there is a minimum number of logged dives required to dive this site.
In The Red Sea, 70% of the fish species are endemic to the Red Sea so you won't see them anywhere else.

I actually managed to deploy to Chuuk Lagoon on a humanitarian deployment for two weeks back in '08. Amazing people, amazing diving.

Oh, DEAR LORD!!!! I'm going to HELL, CDR (Join to see)!!!! I'm going to have to DISAGREE with an ACTIVE DUTY NUKE SUBMARINER LCDR!!!!
Although I, too, LOVE Chuuk (and BZ for using the native name, sir), my two trips to Bikini were WAY above Chuuk. The Saratoga, the Nagato, the Anderson (DD) and the Apagon (SS) were better dives than the SF Maru and her like in Chuuk.
The picture is the IJS Nagato's Signal Bridge (where Adm Nagumo received the message "Climb Mount Niitaka" from Adm Yamamoto on 12/2/41). It lies on its side in 170'. (Battleships capsize when they sink, and if in shallow water, their superstructures "fold over" the side of the hull).
I vote that Chuuk is the SECOND BEST diving in the world. And, PLEASE, Sir... Don't put me back hot-racking in the torpedo room!
EM2/SS, USS Permit, SSN-594 ('84-'89).
594 TOUGH!!!!

Blkini Atoll. Went twice - once in 2002 and once in 2004.
I don't think we'll ever be able to get back there. Sad.
This is a picture of the business end of the IJS Nagato's 15" main guns. And yes, that is Sponge Bob in there...
(Nuke Bubbleheads are NOT "right" - ever.)

Yeah, definitely Egypt ...... so much marine life and super warm water make it a pleasure to dive there.
Anything would probably be better than where my wife and I certified in Holland. The water was right around 40 degrees Fahrenheit, and visibility was almost 4 feet (Wow !!) one day. We were told that if we could certify there, we would feel at home wherever we would dive in the future. Guess what? They were right. :-))
