What will be you be doing on Veteran's Day 2021?

This year Veterans Day falls on Thursday and the Federal Holiday is today. On Memorial Day the nation honors the war dead and on Veterans Day the nation honors those who served in the armed forces of the USA. We who served and who currently serve remember the war dead and our service throughout our lives.
Whatever your plans are, I hope that you all have a wonderful Veterans Day

LTC Stephen F. I will be spending Saturday in prison celebrating Veterans Day with all the Veterans, A.L., & S.A.L. members... about 120 in total. We will be having 2 hot dogs, 2 bags of chips, 2 drinks, popcorn, two large soft homebaked cookies & two pints of ice creme while watching a movie.

I will be spending time with my family on Veterans Day. I intend to honor veterans throughout the day. I hope to spend some time with some older veterans this weekend. One of my nearby friends is a WWII Coast Guard veteran and another served in the early 1960s.
When I was younger and still in the Army I did my best to eat a few free meals on Veteran’s Day. Now that I am older I can at most eat two meals.
My darling wife and I will be dining at Applebee's restaurant on Thursday afternoon.
I intend to drive to the local Texas Roadhouse which 'will hand out dinner vouchers at the stores’ parking lots on November 11, from 11am to 2pm. Veterans and active-duty military can redeem their dinner vouchers when the restaurant opens for dinner, through May 30, 2022."

If I am up to it I will stop at Red Robin for a burger in the evening.

As I reflect on Veterans Day I want to thank all of you, my heroes. Some came before Some after but my heroes you came. In the time we live in where everyone thinks they are special you came to your country. You are special. God family country all matter. Even though we didn't do it for notoriety I give you my love. Thank you my fellow warriors. God bless you and America..Rangers lead the way

We had a get together of veterans and other supporters at out VFW this evening and tomorrow many of us will gather at city hall to commemorate our veterans.

I will be working at the Veteran appreciation event at the Weber State University Student Union - military displays, food for ALL students, and t-shirts for our student Veterans.

Since my wife is also a vet we will be spending it at home together and enjoying the day as we remember our service commitment to the Air Force and to each other. We remember some of our friends on flying status with SAC. at Fairchild AFB that were lost in Viet Nam that have never been found. God rest their souls.

Took part in my first ceremony with my Legion post. Too much contention between the Legion and VFW here. Legion had their very first solo ceremony. I was part of the firing detail!

Spent time alone at home on my farm...just quiet time setting up Deer feeders and stands and working some areas up for hunting...that is my time away from everything and everybody. I know people mean well when they say "thank you for your service" but that has become so cliché that to be honest borders on my nerves and I just don't want hear it any more. Plus I want to honor those in my memory that came before me and served with me in my quiet special way. Quietly in the woods with God and nature.
