What will be you be doing Veteran's Day weekend in 2017?

This year Veterans Day falls on Saturday and the Federal Holiday is today. On Memorial Day the nation honors the war dead and on Veterans Day the nation honors those who served in the armed forces of the USA. We who served and who currently serve remember the war dead and our service throughout our lives.
Whatever your plans are, I hope that you all have a wonderful Veterans Day

I will be spending time with my family this weekend. I hope to spend some time with some older veterans this weekend. One of my nearby friends is a WWII Coast Guard veteran and another served in the early 1960s.
When I was younger and still in the Army I did my best to eat a few free meals on Veteran’s Day. Now that I am older I can at most eat two meals.
I am considering driving to Martinsburg, WV to get a meal at Hoss's this evening.
My darling wife and I will be meeting another veteran and his wife at Texas Road House on November 11 and at Golden Coral on Monday 13 November

My dear wife and I will probably not leave the house but will mark a day of careful contemplation. I remember last year I spent the day in Billings for medical care and the free meal at Olive Garden was delicious.

Just filled the third deer tag today, so it's cleaning everything up, including my sorry ass. I'll stop by our small town activities tomorrow, but am otherwise low key about it. Wife is bringing grandkids up so the house will explode. Pretty normal.

Today when with other VFW members to local assisted living center. We had a ceremony to honor Veterans living at the center.

I have to work today, but I asked for a trip to Hopkinsville ky so I can meet up with a friend of mine who will give me a ride to Ft.Campbell and take a look at the old flight line and remember my buddies .
