What will be your Action/Reaction to a 2nd week of some NFL players disrespecting the National Anthem?

This is the 2nd weekend in a row where some NFL players went to one knee. What should we do? Some on here and linked-in.com have decided to not watch the NFL. Some don't care and say the players can do what the hell they want and they are not entertainers. Others have listed all the companies who sponsor the NFL and are telling them they are boycotting the NFL. There are 1700 players and 300k law enforcement and Law enforcement is working on a boycott. Some VFW posts are not showing NFL. Some cable companies are giving refunds on NFL bundles. I live in Canada and I suggest going to check out the CFL since 40% of the players, including Flutie, are NFL Alumni. America First does not fly when Canada is the leading trading partner to 32 of the 50 States. 200 Canadian SF are on the front lines fighting ISIS in Northern Iraq. The unsportsman-like NFL players are in the 'me first' mode. Never forget the flag, the National Anthem and the fallen. You have the right to kneel but we have the right to stop watching the NFL and its lucrative advertisers.

I don't watch the games LTC Private RallyPoint Member . I hope that more and more NFL players stand fro the National Anthem of this nation. The National Anthem is symbol of hope fro what can be not a status of what is.

I will not buy and I will not wear any of the NFL shirts I already had, I will no longer buy anything from any company that sponsors the NFL who refuses to even enforce their own rules when these spoiled. rich brats Who only play a game to entertain insult the National anthem and the Flag of the United States. in My view far too many people have fought and died for that flag and respect the honor that the National anthem represents also in that honor. If they feel so badly they want to kneel why don't they kneel l and ask forgiveness for their despicable act ? A full apology is owed to not only the Veteran's but all the citizens of the United States from these NFL players and staff that participated in this disgusting display !

I've been boycotting since last year. I've adjusted. I wonder if the past unofficial policy of stopping field operations for Soldiers to watch the Super Bowl will be adjusted.(not actual combat operations).

Ultimately, I don't watch the NFL anyhow so it's a matter of Charlie Mike for me. This whole issue comes down to the players have the right to peacefully protest as they are, the NFL has the right to allow or disallow the use of the field for political reasons which they have chosen to allow, fans have the right to choose to boycott as many are choosing to do, and so on. As annoying as it is to see this story constantly on the headlines, and for people to show such blatant disrespect tword the symbol of the very freedom they are practicing, it does boil down to they are within their rights and the NFL has chosen to allow it. As such, fans are left to choose whether to accept this protest (or, at least, accept the fact it's happening), or take their viewership (money) elsewhere. When the votes (money) rolls in, you bet the NFL will be paying attention to the results.

Honestly, I could care less what some millionaires do. It doesn't affect me in the least. I still have to get up and go to work. I still have a mortgage to pay, so it don't matter. I choose to invest my emotions in something far more meaningful like my family. People are going to do things we don't agree with. If I lived my life getting mad every time it happened, I would be angry all the time. So to answer your question, I will do nothing beyond what I was already going to do.

This just finished off what little interest in the NFL that I still possessed. The last collective bargaining agreement screwed all the experienced players and now you have teams of half literate rookies and the quality of the games reflect that fact. So now we have a bunch of rookies that want to protest on my dime while forcing me to watch bad football. Screw it, they won't get any more of my money.

I will continue watching all of the football. Stand, or kneel, or sit... it makes me no difference. It's their right. I will always stand tall and scream "Oooooohhhhh" when I'm watching my beloved Ravens (bad few weeks for us, btw).

The point of escapism is to have an outlet where you can relax and cast away the troubles of the day. As entertainers, they should focus on what they do... entertain. Leave politics to their personal lives. We don't watch football or any sport for that matter for a controversy. If we want a controversy, we'll watch Pro-wrestling. At least that can be entertaining.

So as long as they want to stir the pot and continue to divide us, I have plenty of other forms of escapism to relax to. Besides, who doesn't like curling up to a good book every now and then.

In the long list of reasons to boycott the NFL, this is probably way at the bottom. If people didn't boycott the league after their history of covering up concussions and other player safety issues, domestic abusers, or other things that actually cause harm then this isn't something worth boycotting over.

I don't watch TV football and I didn't get too excited about this because as a lawyer I know there isn't any law mandating behavior at a sporting event. Its very fine that we play the national anthem and my habit is to stand and salute the flag, but I'm OK with people sitting, snoozing, kneeling or blowing green sparks out their butts, because I'm not the boss of them and the First Amendment, which we all claim to support, expressly allows them to do as they please. I don't care how the players express themselves, I'm more concerned with how I conduct myself in accordance with my own beliefs and behaviors.
