If it is being deactivated, those in it could always cross train for a different MOS,or be absorbed by other units with the same specialties.

They’ll eventually move them to Italy. The current plan is to withdraw 12,000 of the 36,000 Germany troops and move 5,600 of them to Italy and Belgium. Two thirds will still remain in Germany
