What will President Joe Biden do about the Peace Deal brokered by the Trump Administration in its final year?

London/Afghanistan: President Joe Biden is under pressure to decide whether to abide by an Afghanistan peace deal reached in Donald Trump’s final year aimed at bringing the 2,500 troops left in the country home after almost two decades of war.

The challenge is pulling it off without leaving the Taliban poised to retake power. The Taliban is constantly challenging the Afghan administration to abrogate the deal, so it can retake control of the country.

Given that Biden wants to undo all that Trump pushed through, as if to say Trump did nothing worthwhile, he will likely scrap the deal. Biden is an amateur playing among wolves.

Great question. I have to wonder too about WHY Trump didn't get hardly any recognition for the peace deals. After all, Obama got the Nobel prize merely for getting elected. I'm not saying Trump should get the Nobel prize; but only that the media sure skipped over any real recognition.

I love to go back and remember how good old Ronnie and Bush senior so loved the Taliban. Say, I seem to remember his love for Iran and the american trained Contras as well. Glad all of this worked out so well for America. (facetious) Anyway, the world would be better off if Afghanistan and western Pakistan were turned into a radioactive sheet of glass. Captain, understand one thing. Joe Biden does not have the strategic nor tactical interest of this nation upper most because he is incapable of such high order thinking with his senility and cognitive issues standing in the way. His primary goal is to destroy every Trump accomplishment regardless of consequences. Therefore, the peace agreements reached in the Middle East will survive because the actors want it to, not because Biden does. Russia and China are partnering up. Putin has challenged Biden to a debate, which Biden has hidden from. The Rede Chinese have ridiculed our State Department diplomats to include the Sec of State. The Chinese have blown off the SECDEF. Why? Because they know our leadership is weak, the nation is divided, the military is not ready for a conventional war, and the White House will not make a cogent powerful descision. The Congress is Woke, the Senate is divided and the American People have lost trust in the Administration, Legislative and Judiciary of the nation. Frankly Captain, we're in deep Kim Chee. Biden wants to cut the Defense Budget and the Sino-Russian League has their ears to the rail. I'd be training my people for a real serious shoot out at the OK Corral. Are we ready to confront the PLA and the Russians on two fronts?
Don't worry about the ME, Israel will along with their Arab partners take care of business. All we have to do is take care of ours. Watch Taiwan closely.

If there is a way this Administration can destroy that deal as well as every other success President Trump had, they will. President Biden's hatred for President Trump runs deep and hard. If possible, they will couch it in terms of "humanitarian concerns" for the Palestinian people and whatever they do will do more damage than good to millions of people and cost American Billions of dollars. At best, the current President will be extremely slow in showing any support to the allied countries while Kerry figures out how to send $ Billions to Iran and they unleash the Taliban.

Come OcT we will have been there 20 years and while we defeated the man responsible for 9/11, that is the only real outcome. They don't want to change and kids keep joining the Taliban for a reason. Time to get out and what may come there is a result of their decision making for the last 20 years, not ours.

After reading a number of posts it appears that we're all over the place; however, the place seems to not place a great deal of trust in the CinC, SECDEF, nor the CJCS for many and varied reasons, which should cause pause in regard to our ability to meet head on any aggressive move by land, sea, air, or space by the CHICOMS, Russians, or ME actors. We needed to pull out of the ME. Why? Simple considering Cost Benefit Analysis assessing $s, lives, versus political gains (winning of the Hearts and Minds). Well, we spent a huge sum of your children's and grandchildren's inheritance, we lost lots of folks (not the kind of losses endured on Omaha Beach or Iwo, or Okinawa), but losses, nonetheless. What have we gained? NOTHING! Did we even win Hearst and Minds? Not really. So why the hell should we stay? Because Russia and Red China said they'd fill the void. This is not about God, Mother, and Apple Pie it's about global politics. Now that I've written this we've bugged out and left a lot of equipment, arms, and R&R goodies for the Taliban at Bagram. Well, that was a find coordinated pull out, wasn't it? Now, part DEUX. We participated in an asymmetrical war, and we have beau coups trigger time, but that does not prep us for the Big Time you know the pros big league. Carrier fleet engagements, armored divisions in the attack, infantry at Battalion or Division engagements, no longer Company size or Battalion size missions, but Corps with space engagements. Oh yeah, I forgot the Gamers in the Pentagon playing for keeps. Let me pass on a BFO (blind flash obvious) We had better forget this wokeness and all the other nonessential BS that contributes nothing to battlefield successes and focus on some real hard core kick ass name taking killer focused training. We had better arm up. I guarantee you that the CHICOMS and Russians are laser focused on making us a statistic in their War Book. I know this seems strange coming from a Coastie (now Guardian) because we're supposed to be focused on Owls, Environment, and Kumbaya stuff. Well, I spent 6 years in the Army as a leg in 1960 when a #11-1/2 boot was considered a training tool. Also, I can tell you we shallow water sailors have special units that don't care about owls and we're laser focused on the mission and the bad guys. My advice? Train your people hard, don't let up 'cause the bad guys won't be woke. Just like the high school coach told you before the football game, "Play to win." General Patton's advice to the Allied Forces in Europe during WW2 is just as valid today as it was then. We're in the killing and urban renewal business, nothing else. Folks we have a nation to defend, so let's get busy and do it.
