What will you do with your old ACU's once you get new camo?

Once the switch is made and you start wearing the new Army camo pattern on a daily basis, what are your plans for your old ACUs?

Save it. In 30 years when I'm 80, I can use it for those ancient Iraq/Afgan war reenactments ;)

Since this is the most useless Uniform I have ever seen I will probably burn them. Only respectable thing to do in my opinion.

If I tried to sell them I probably would not get much and then some SHITBAG would wear them to perpetrate themselves as a fraud Veteran.

The only other use might be as a rag but I am not sure they would even be good enough for that.

Here's what I've worn (and have in the garage):

One set of the original "Elvis collar" BDU's

One set of Chocolate Chip (Desert Storm) Deserts

One set of regular BDU's

One set of early OIF Deserts

A few sets of Mutli-Cam OCP

I have about 15 sets of ACUs in the closet....I will keep one set ready for wear and the rest will become fishing/hunting/lawn mowing/oil changing/ditch digging/tree pruning/weed eating apparel....actually happy for this change!

"Back in the day" (late 60s) is was basic green with gradual transition to the Jungle version .. also green.

Today it appears the ACUs are getting changed out every other day.

Is that true? How many different patterns have you seen in 10 years?

Have a Bonfire and burn every piece of that Garbage pattern gear that I don't have to turn in, the ACU UCP is the 3rd worse thing in my 18 years of service behind the Black beret and the Tatoo policy, and it runs close with QMP and QSP!

I've seen ACUs dyed brown or green for hunting camo. The like and dark colors of the ACU take the dye to varying degrees, so you end up with green or brown digicam. When I get the new uniform, whenever that is for the Guard, I'm probably going to try that with my old ACUs.

I'll keep one set for posterity sake (I'm sentimental like that). The rest I'm giving to my younger cousin who is an airsofter.
