I've got 300 civilian freefalls and my USPA C license, so the military freefall badge would be by the top of my list. I dropped a request back in 1999 to go to Ranger School, but I'm not sure they have ever sent a nurse.

Really depends on where you're trying to take your career. My primary would be RASP. All good things begin in Ranger Regiment. If we're talking about a school that isn't a selection program, then the primary is always Ranger School to bring the leadership back to the unit. My ideal list if I had the opportunity to do it all over in succession:
Airborne-RASP-Ranger-Probably pick up Pathfinder somewhere in the mix-Jump Master-Advanced Land Nav- Then schools don't matter like they used to... as a fallback to this plan not working... SFAS to 18D Q course then try and get on either a dive or HALO team... then go back to Advanced Land Nav

I have been to some of the schools/courses mentioned, to include EOA, Master Resiliency, LeanSix, Airborne, Air Assault, 18D, etc..

One of the best courses I've attended is the Boots to Business course offered to a few as I prepared to retire. I actually walked in because I could not get scheduled. Now I have 5 streams of income and get paid 11 times a month.

My point is, military schools are fun and some are good for your military career. Most do nothing for your life after the military. Don't get me wrong, I would do them all over again. But ultimately, I suggest you consider the lifestyle you want after the military. Then find schools, mentors and education (traditional and non-traditional) that will help you life that lifestyle.

The my opinion "Airborne", because of its historic foundation to all the other schools. It connects us to the past and future of those who "pushed the limits". For all the "high speed" of the other schools, appreciating and excelling in "the basics" drives greater success as you advance to the others.
On a personal note, stepping out the door for the first time was a spiritual exprience that change my azimuth of life, in almost the same way that earning the title "Marine" changed my life.

I guess if I was still in and had my choice, I always wanted to be Air Cav Chopper pilot. I had the desire to go to WO school and get that rank and I wanted that school more than anything and well obviously did not get it, due to lack of slots and the fact that most of my time was NG and good luck doing anything except your primary MOS. I did enjoy being a 19D, but I knew there was more out there. Anyway, I should have been a Marine SEAL team 8 guy Ranger..I met a guy like that once, hell of a man. lol

Strange that I got a pop in to another page and thought Id be answering "What are the most Hooah Schools, and not the specific question above shown here about What would I choose.

For the suggestion of most Hooah schools, I believe its useful to consider the minimum reqs to be an instructor at said school.

Embassy School (Marine Security Guard - MSG). Instructors are all of these: E7+, Former DIs, Former Recruiters, AND Former Embassy Detachment unit members and Commanders.

And remember this is potentially a duty where not all of your personnel above you in your chain of command even have your back. (Cough cough Benghazi cough cough...)

Since I am an honorably discharged veteran, I will decline to answer the "which school would I want to attend" portion.

I see a lot of people naming Airborne and Air Assault. Go to the 101st those schools were fairly common and easy to get when I was there. Ranger, Sapper and STABO were reasonably available although a little harder to get.

I know its specific to an MOS, but EOD school was one of the best times of my life. I'm surprised more people aren't interested. The school is literally 10 min from Destin, FL. which is an awesome beach/vacation town.

Toughest school I attended, and I went to a lot of them, was Drill Instructor Academy. Like going to to Boot Camp all over again but with more inspections classroom and PT. washout rate exceeded 60% this was at MCRDPI in 67

Airborne was on the top of the list and I got that as a Cadet. Ranger was second, but in the Guard you had to be in a special unit that was always full. Too old and broke now.

Delta and SF are a career commitment. Ranger school was the 1st school I volunteered for after the Q course and on a team. Its one of the best leadership schools in the military. Your faced with adversity and challenges from the moment you report in.

We had a former Ranger SGT that got honorably discharged from the Army that was in my ITB platoon at Camp Geiger. He had to go through USMC recruit training, then MCT, then ITB to become an infantry Marine. He told all of us that ITB was way tougher than Ranger school. I obviously never went to Ranger school, but I can tell you guys ITB is a thousand times worse than Marine boot camp.

My first big school choice, as an infantryman came up, and I had the choice of Sniper or Ranger. As an infantryman, Ranger school is ALWAYS an option, but I wanted Sniper, BAD! I still, to this day, do not regret that choice. Best military school, I have ever attended!
