Totally untrue. I've lived in Idaho for the vast majority of my life and have slept outside in Bear Country a lot.

People do not know how to keep their camps in such a way that it minimizes the risk of attracting bears (I.e. Secure your garbage, don't leave food out, don't keep food in your tent, ect.).

My wife and I also have camped A LOT in Idaho when I was stationed in Mtn. Home from 02-05 and never had a problem and loved it. We even had our 2 boys very young at the time with us. 3 y/o and 4 months at the time. Then we moved to TX and had a 3rd lil boy and went camping. Good Times!
