What year will the first woman become an Army Ranger?

8 women and 184 men survived RAP week at Ranger School. What year do you think the first woman will succeed and be awarded the coveted Ranger Tab? (See survey). Do you see women then trying to become Navy Seals? Personally, I do. Not a matter of 'if' but 'when.'

Depends on how "being a ranger" is defined. Does the tab make the ranger, or doing the job (or have done the job) in the Ranger Regiment make one a ranger.

My opinion, passing the course only makes you Ranger qualified. An important first step for females, to be sure, but until they are actually doing the mission as a Ranger, then they are not Rangers.
