She told CNN the gunman entered the classroom at Umpqua Community College wearing a bulletproof vest and “shot toward the back of the wall” and “got everybody’s attention.”

“He seemed happy about it,” the survivor told CNN. “He didn’t seem stressed, he didn’t seem nervous. When he came in he told everybody to get on the ground … and the girl in wheelchair, she got off and tried to get down on the ground.”

“Wait, there was a woman in a wheelchair during all this?” a shocked Sidner interjected.

“Yeah, and she had a dog with her, and the dog was just on the ground,” the survivor added. “And she got off the chair, she went on the ground. And then he told her to get back on the chair, and then she tried to climb back on the chair, and then he shot her.”

CNN did not include in its report the identity of the woman the survivor spoke of.

If true that is unconscionable for the gunmen to shoot a woman in a wheelchair Sgt Tom Cunnally.
It would have been wonderful to many of us if the area where the gunman executed his victims had concealed carry laws and at least one person in that classroom had been trained to fire their weapon and had confronted the killer before he became a killer. Of course there would be cries from the Progressives about senseless violence and depriving somebody of their rights.
However if the incident did not take place, the POTUS would not have to interrupt his busy schedule to speak about something near and dear to his heart - increased gun control and restricted access to guns.
