When can my NCO submit my BLC package?

I been waiting since I got my P Status in January to go to BLC last month my chain of command didn't submit the package on time the next class is on July 5th I just want to make sure this time they submit the package on time.

This response may catch a lot of flack from other NCOs, but your career is your responsibility. Either be the squeaky wheel that gets the grease, or submit your own packet. Get up your first lines ass about it, (tactfully) and take responsibility for your own career. Yes, they should be helping you, but they also have other soldiers to train and take care of.

So what is this social media site supposed to do to help you? We can't submit for you. This is strictly a unit thing, if you think they intentionally withheld your packet go to IG. Talk to your supervisor, maybe the company submitted and the bn schools guy messed it up. Theres a million reasons this didnt happen, running here isnt going to solve anything.

Your package submission is on you. You present your package to the chain of command and give each 10 days to sign, which is only 20 days, then you walk your package to the Training NCO/NCOIC and give that office 10 days to put into the system. You are responsible for your career. If you are not capable of ensuring your own packets are walked through timely then you won’t be able to ensure those under your watch will be. Have you proceeded as described? If so, time to inquire. First stop is the S3.

It has to go to BDE as well, so takes a bot of time. But once it is submitted, they are usually really good at ensuring you get a slot. Good luck.

When I went to BLC my first line had me put my packet together he checked it then I submitted it. That way when my soldier was ready to go I knew what I needed to help them succeed. I am taking my first soldier to his first board this week and then off to BLC. Like the previous posts have stated it’s YOUR career it’s what YOU make it.

You are about to be an NCO. You can take the initiative and create your own packet, or sit around and let your career stagnate and go no where.

Your career is in your hands; you need to follow up and get enrolled in BLC. I would also recommend downloading the course outline start now learning how to write APA format, Marching, leading PRT, and make sure your PT Test score is high set yourself up for success.

As a future NCO, figure out what needs to be done. If you have to ask daily then stay on them

Stand out and be willing to be flexible with class times. Sit there and make sure you get enrolled if they won't enroll you ask why.

Your Training NCO should have started updating your information and preparing a packet last fall after you took your last APFT/ACFT...the schools are being inundated with applications. If you want a seat this FY, you need to have your application in the system as soon as you became eligible. Truthfully, as a SPC, you should have been looking to attend the class BEFORE you became eligible, as preparation. Now, you are promotable, but you don't have a class date, if your packet goes before the promotion board without a class date, you won't be considered for promotion.

I make all my soldiers from private on up to their own packets for boards and promotions. (with guidance and mentorship were needed).How else are they going to learn when they get into a position of leadership?

I'm National Guard, SPC Private RallyPoint Member and I'm currently deployed. My experience may be totally different than yours or maybe similar. My Platoon Sergeant asked me did I want to go to BLC, which was before COVID halted everything. My company commander and my 1SG are both aware of my career plans and I'm sure that's why they made sure to contact me about BLC. Of course, I said "Yes!" I graduated BLC (eBLC) and was the 1st Soldier in my unit to get the experience. You will only be able to do so much at your level, to be honest! Some of that information needed will require ranks much higher than both mine and yours! Use your CoC and I'm sure they wouldn't mind pushing you through BLC, which is now eBLC. One of my Soldiers are in BLC (eBLC) right now and I made sure that he had all the information that the NCOIC requested of us. It was easier because he was the 2nd Soldier in my unit to do eBLC. Therefore, I worked with my PSG and we got the information uploaded! It's a team effort! Do the parts that you can and what you can't do, there's always someone who can assist you! Hopefully everything falls into place, until then I say DRIVE ON SPC Private RallyPoint Member !
