We all have those things that remind us of loved ones or critical events in our lives. They could be superstitions or quirks - mine as highlighted in the question is to think of my Dad, and quite frankly that is not my only superstition. What have you incorporated into your routine? Just curious, because I know I am not the only one!!

I think of any one of countless deceased persons every day, but I do not "pay homage" to any of them. They are merely a presence in a casual, everyday thought.

Out of curiosity, if you are willing to share, why does the number 4 make you think of your dad?

My mom used to sing "you are my sunshine" to me when I was little. Now that phrase has started showing up on pictures and coffee mugs everywhere. When I see that I think of her. I bought her a mug with it on there for Christmas one year and now I have a picture hanging in my bedroom with the phrase. I have such a close bond with my mom. Another thing that reminds me of her is honey bees. My name means honeybee and she loves all things honeybee lol. She even incorporated that into my wedding ring quilt she made me.
