I was eating candy and had no idea they had LSD sprayed on them. Besides a few past instances of cannabis use, I have never partaken in habitual drug use. I don't desire to lie to the recruiter but I really want to serve. I feel as though that instance ruined my chances of ever being an army ranger. Besides that , I am physically healthy and in great shape. There is nothing physically preventing me from serving besides my medical records

Don't waste your time with option 40. Ask for an airborne contract and volunteer for RASP at Airborne School. There's no need for an Opt40 because RASP is open to anyone to volunteer at any time.

He will still need to pass the character evaluation to get the security clearance needed to be able to graduate RASP. The regiment does not want people who are willing to lie to cover up mistakes they've made in the past. Owning your mistakes and proving yourself to be of high moral character is the route to go.

Well, if you have no desire to lie, then tell the truth at all avenues and let the chips land where they may.

Garrett Holliman - You shouldn't even be having the thought process of lying about it or wondering about whether or not you can get away with it. It's something you did that you need to own up to, consequences be damned. It's called having integrity.

SGT Christopher Hayden It wasn't my fault in any regard. I was under the impression I was eating sour patch kids until I began hallucinating. I have integrity but this could prevent me from joining even though it wasn't my fault. I didn't know what was going on so that's why I went to the ER. I'm just scared they'll drop me because of it. I had no conscious consent to it. I was drugged.

Garrett Holliman - Always have integrity. Don't lie. Never lie. Tell the truth. But for arguments sake, if you did lie and it was found out later that you did...you could be booted for fraudulent enlistment. Some folks managed to stay in after lying and never been found out. Others....yea they got outed and put out. And put out with bad papers.

Garrett Holliman - So folks have answered your question and you keep coming back with how you did not consent, did not know what was going on, etc. Follow everyone's advice and be up front and stop looking for another answer as you are not going to get it.

If you're not an adict and it's not a problem, as long as you're clean, then keep your mouth shut lol. No need to say dumb unnecessary shit that doesn't effect your health or mission

Yeah keep his mouth shut, right after he put it on a military social media page. Great advice Airman, It's not like social media is checked for a top secret clearance.

I mean now, a top secret might be difficult, but you don't need top secret for the rangers or anything 11C. If you wanna go green beret or anything more then maybe, but ypu only need secret for army spec ops. Or air force even.SSgt (Join to see)
