When people talk of death do they really mean to talk about death of memories?

I mean what if some of the memories are all man created and happened in the military and you are like finally aware and well it affected your whole family and you yourself were not a strong functional piece by even 22 and more of a burden to your family as you were sick so mess messed up your navy army transfer was disqualified for psych spine musculoskeletal.
