I have since carried out the given punishment. My question is since I have now been active duty for 2 years (February), when should I expect to be eligible for promotion to SPC? Currently I am still at E2. I have asked my PSG several times, he hasn't given me an answer. Thanks in advance.
If its a matter of TIG, what can I do to receive a waiver? As such, you will need to meet the full TIG requirements for advancement to PFC and SPC. And that clock started on the day your effective DOR to PV2 started. That’s false I myself have denied promotion to the rank of SPC because I felt the soldier was not ready or deserving so you might want to think about that stud Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 19 at 2020 2:16 PM 2020-04-19T14:16:01-04:00 2020-04-19T14:16:01-04:00 CSM Darieus ZaGara 5793574

He haven’t answered you because you just got reduced. Your eligibility for PFC is what I question. You have to convince your COC that you have learned from your mistake and will be a valuable addition as a new PFC. A filed grade AR-15 is not something that you can just roll through like nothing happened. A plus for you is that you have not been chaptered out. Its going to suck but you have to be better than any other PVT in the unit, you have to show your COC that you stepped on your crank and know that and that you will only improve given more responsibility as well as rank. I am no stranger to being busted, I sucked it up and made all my rank back and then some. Its just harder to do but it can happen. The most important thing it that you learned from the past and can now perform as a standard bearer in the United States Army. If this is the case, and you want to make up for a set back you had with the FG Article 15, I would say to start taking correspondence courses for your MOS, study skill level 1 and 2 tasks and take some online college classes. Also as a prior commander, depending on the severity of your actions which had to have been enough to force a reduction in rank. Not to mention that the commander didn’t see it fit to put stipulations in place to write up and inform you of the article 15, however putting stipulations in place that would essentially Allow them to put the article 15 on hold as long as you met certain requirements that they set forth.
All in all just reference the regulations as listed above and make sure that you follow the chain of command when inquiring about this so as not to cause any more waves. You may also possibly request a one on one with your PSG and or PL to discuss the matter, if such action is taken it would be who’ve you to make sure you go over the regulation prior to and or possibly print it off and bring it with you so that way you can reference what you were trying to tell them and also make sure that you are meeting and or exceeding all requirements that are being asked of you which should be notated within your counseling statements whether they’re done monthly or quarterly, they’ll tell you where you stand.
