Your eligibility for PFC is what I question. You have to convince your COC that you have learned from your mistake and will be a valuable addition as a new PFC. A filed grade AR-15 is not something that you can just roll through like nothing happened. A plus for you is that you have not been chaptered out. Its going to suck but you have to be better than any other PVT in the unit, you have to show your COC that you stepped on your crank and know that and that you will only improve given more responsibility as well as rank. I am no stranger to being busted, I sucked it up and made all my rank back and then some. Its just harder to do but it can happen. 1SG Dennis Hicks Sun, 19 Apr 2020 21:06:28 -0400 2020-04-19T21:06:28-04:00 Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Apr 19 at 2020 10:48 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/when-should-i-be-eligible-for-promotion-to-spc-given-that-i-have-2-years-ad-but-was-recently-demoted-to-pv2-due-to-a-fg-article-15?n=5794899&urlhash=5794899

Have things changed that much since I was active duty back in 1990-1992? Also as a prior commander, depending on the severity of your actions which had to have been enough to force a reduction in rank. Not to mention that the commander didn’t see it fit to put stipulations in place to write up and inform you of the article 15, however putting stipulations in place that would essentially Allow them to put the article 15 on hold as long as you met certain requirements that they set forth.
All in all just reference the regulations as listed above and make sure that you follow the chain of command when inquiring about this so as not to cause any more waves.
