When switching from active Duty to national guard back to active duty do I get to choose my duty station?

So I got out of active duty and transferred to the guard well Im realizing now it wasn’t a good decision. So my main question is once I decide to go back active duty would I get to choose my duty station since I was active before or is it needs of the army at that point?

More often than not, going back to Active you will be needs of the Army.

You will get what ever the Prior Service rules at the time allow. That changes fairly often, you need to talk to a recruiter.
My experience was that Prior Service got what the Army gave them. If you were 11B Active also, my guess is that you would get to keep your MOS. Again, talk to a Recruiter for all the current Prior Service rules.

Ask a recruiter they are the ones in the know loop, which changes almost daily, and is free.

AD 79R. If you’re a SPC 11B like it says on you profile then it will be no issue. You’ll be able to go Option 18 which is duty station of choice but which ones are available when you’re at meps picking is a different discussion. HMU if you have questions
