<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Because I am facing possible RCP as a SGT/E5, I am looking at putting in a recruiting packet for a faster advancement to SSG/E6. Was wondering if this in possible? And if so, how should I go about this? ( I can only re-up for 2 yrs, plus extend for one year)Sun, 15 Jun 2014 23:30:01 -0400When to submit a recruiter packet?

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I do not believe that faster advancement is a part of USAREC anymore, you don't get promoted fast unless you convert to 79R, permanent recruiter.SFC Scott O.Sun, 15 Jun 2014 23:38:07 -04002014-06-15T23:38:07-04:00Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 16 at 2014 3:13 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>SGT Thompson, I strongly encourage you to talk to your retention NCO about being able to re class. I know it is probably not your intent, but it sounds like you only want to be a recruiter to keep yourself from hitting your RCP. I truly don't think that you will do well as a recruiter if that is your intent, and as the RCP draws closer, that will be on your mind more than your mission. That will lead to less than favorable NCOERs and further damage your career.1SG Private RallyPoint MemberMon, 16 Jun 2014 15:13:54 -04002014-06-16T15:13:54-04:00Response by MSG Martin C. made Jun 16 at 2014 4:13 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Talk to retention it's your best bet. Also I don't know your specifics about points and MOS however ensure that you do everything within your power to get as many points you can.MSG Martin C.Mon, 16 Jun 2014 16:13:20 -04002014-06-16T16:13:20-04:00Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Jun 16 at 2014 4:25 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>For that quick/fast promotion you need to re-class to 79R............<br /><br />Recruiting packet only gets you there as a detailed recruiter for 3 years.......you still keep your current MOS. You have to have 3 years remaining when you get boots on ground at your recruiting station. You have to prove yourself as a recruiter to then be able to reclass into 79R.SSG Private RallyPoint MemberMon, 16 Jun 2014 22:32:46 -04002014-06-16T22:32:46-04:00Response by CW3 Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 14 at 2015 8:51 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I know this may be a shot in the dark, but I am considering putting in a volunteer recruiter packet. Currently a SSG with 14 yes afs, I know I'll need a waiver there, and five dependants on deers even tho two don't live with me and I am no longer responsible for them financially (possible waiver unless dropped from deers). The main problem I'm running into is my bde is deployed but I am not, who does my bn cdr's interview?SSG Private RallyPoint MemberThu, 19 Jan 2017 21:36:37 -05002017-01-19T21:36:37-05:002014-06-15T23:30:01-04:00
