It&#39;s written into their contract. The Soldier should have arrived to the unit with a copy of the contract and a second copy is mailed to the unit as well. There&#39;s a section called ADDITUONAL STATEMENTS that addresses the dwell time. Currently most states are offering two years of dwell time. The Soldier can waive the stabilization if they choose and the stability does not apply to call ups from the governor for states of emergency. You won&#39;t find it written in a reg because it&#39;s dictated by internal TACC messages, but it&#39;s there in writing on their contract SFC Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 12 Mar 2021 10:09:52 -0500 2021-03-12T10:09:52-05:00 Response by CW3 Kevin Storm made Mar 12 at 2021 10:44 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/when-transitioning-from-active-duty-to-the-national-guard-or-reserves-is-there-any-dwell-or-stabilization-period-per-the-regulations?n=6817203&urlhash=6817203 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Depends on how long the state takes to process the person. Then they will get orders. Normally they should have a unit assignment prior to leaving AD, and then they will get orders with a report date. Dwell policy is 1 to 1 for active duty and 4 to 1 for reserve mobilization. I learned this the hard way when I left active duty for the RC and was involuntarily mobilized a year later. At that time, per regs I had 24 months of stabilization. I waived it for deployment but that&#39;s the amount of time I was given by regulation.
