When will I receive BAH after I move?

Hi guys i have some questions about bah,
My shiping date is end october and my wife plan to move to the other state end 2019 or start 2020 then, how is going BAH??

Are you already in the Military or are you leaving for basic training the end of October? If you are leaving for basic, your wife is not authorized at any training location. You won’t be able to stay with her during any time while you’re at basic. Where are you heading when you ship the end of October?

Based on your responses to SFC Private RallyPoint Member you will not receive BAH while at Basic Training. You will not receive BAH at AIT unless your school is at least 10 weeks long.

Since you are married you should start getting BAH for where your wife is living at. I would wait until you complete basic and AIT to move your wife with you when you PCS to your first duty station. If your AIT is a certain length she can move to where you are and you can live in housing and not in the barracks. I would talk to the Drill Sergeants at your AIT before making plans since they will know what you can and can’t do there.
