When will the Ft Carson SFAB be available?

I am interested in applying for SFAB in the near future, does anyone know when Ft Carson will be open? Side now as well, for those that are in these SFAB units how has it grown and is it worth doing?

Recruiting has already begun for that brigade, (4th SFAB). Contact an SFAB recruiter for more information.

They are filling the slots now. My Battalion commander is leaving to take one of the battalions right now.

I’m in 3rd SFAB and I would recommend going for it. It’s a great opportunity to work with a group of individuals that find genuine enjoyment in their jobs. You’ll have lots of opportunities for schools. With that comes a lot of TDY, not just for the cool guy schools you want but also for the schools needed to be a fully trained advisor. As far as slots for 4th SFAB, I’ve heard they’re filling it already. I’d apply soon because 11B slots fill pretty quick. Good luck

Remember that SFAB is a temporary assignment outside of your normal duties. If you desire a career change for unique missions, contact the SORB for special operations MOS'
