For some MOS/AFSCs the standards are high for a reason - only the cream of the crop can make it. That particular MOS/AFSC is for the ruff &amp; tumble people that do not know quit, &amp; are able to physically perform the functions of said MOS/AFSC.<br /><br />I think it will be some time, still, but with today's modern look at physical fitness, it may be sooner than later. In an office fine, I have been sent to assist to many time because it was a female officer. If your hired for PC, or requirements changed so you CAN pass then your not equal. How many times have we tried to reinvent the APFT?<br /><br />Until we can effectively write a standard there will be this issue. The only courses we have currently available are to keep the pull up standards and severely restrict or discriminate against women, or lower the body fat percentage across the board to 36% (Army highest allowable percentage per age and gender)<br /><br />Until we come up with MOS based PT tests there won't be any good solutions.
