SGT Private RallyPoint Member Inquiring to see what your military occupational title "Signal Support System Specialist' might translate into civilian terms. This goes back to the suggestions to correlate civilian and military terms and titles. I realize that what you show here on RP is not the same as what you put in yr resume, but am curious how you address this potential issue in your experience. It seems that making the connection for employers between what you did and can do to meet their needs and job requirements is a big potential problem and issue for SMs seeking employment in the pvt sector. Thanks for your insights..

I would link your profile to your resume, not actually try to include it. You might want to highlight pertinent skills, but you need to have a personal web page. Yeah, i Know, I should talk - mine is still "under construction" but at least it's there.

Hi there! From what I have seen in last couple of years, if you want people to see your work, put a link on your LinkedIn and provide the link on your resume when you are applying to tech jobs.

Having a personal website is great, but only if it looks complete, and is easy to navigate.

Never. Too much info for a resume. However, if you think a potential employer might want to look at code you've written, providing a link on your resume may be helpful.

If you are applying for a coding position then always provide a link to at least some of your code... I care more about seeing the code you've written than knowing where or even if you went to college.
