If the President issues an unlawful order like an attack on our Constitutional Government. How can we protect the Constitution against all foes, "if" the President is one of the foes?

PO2 Willis Linn - And what about a rogue Congress?
And if you are using the standards set by the current congress about a rogue President, then like many others have stated every single President under The Constitution. And a reminder that way too many people tend to ignore or forget, The US President is not a creature of, nor does he serve at the pleasure of Congress, but of the People. WE do not have a parliamentary form of government.

A parliamentary system or parliamentary democracy is a system of democratic governance of a state where the executive derives its democratic legitimacy from its ability to command the confidence of the legislature, typically a parliament, and is also held accountable to that parliament.

How about a President that issues orders to kill Americans using drones. Should that order be followed? PO2 Willis Linn

PO2 Willis Linn are you talking about a President that failed to defend our border while supplying arms to Mexican cartels in hope that
he could restrict firearm ownership for US citizens?

"I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God."

Your answer lies in the wording or the enlistment oath and the order of it.
Constitution first. That takes priority over all. Against all enemies foreign and Domestic. Obey all order of the President and Officers... according to regulations and UCMJ.

You are not some rookie straight out of basic training. You should by now know what that means and how it applies to your question. It means you follow LEGAL orders. Those orders that do not conflict with the UCMJ. Being ordered to attack the government falls against the oath and the UCMJ.

Your oath is to defend the Constitution, and only that you will obey the orders of the President so long as they are within the Regulations and UCMJ.

PO2 Willis Linn Actually the power of the President of the United States does not come from the Constitution, it comes from the People.
To put this in better perspective, the Constitution is actually supposed to limit the powers and actions of the government, that includes ALL branches - the Executive, the Legislative, and the Judiciary.

And from this question and your responses to some of the commentary leads me to ask you a question in all seriousness (a turn of the phrase); Are you a Democrat, a leftist (i.e. a Socialist), or are you just uneducated?

THAT'S A TWIST SSG, I CAN TELL WERE YOU'RE COMING FROM EASY, YOU ARE ATTACHING POLITICS TO DUTY, WHAT ABOUT DUTY TO OATH? Or the Honor it is to serve the Constitutional Government based on RULE OF LAW you might remember that it's written in that GREAT DOCUMENT CALLED, THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION. AND OUR Oath WAS PUT THERE AND WRITTEN AS IT IS FOR A REASON, IT IS "SUPPOSED" TO BE OUR WORD OF HONOR! TO DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION AGAINST ALL FOES-FOR ME THAT OATH WILL NEVER EXPIRE UNTIL I DO.
For your information SSG, the question was to open a discussion on the Constitution and possible conflicts of duty! Not a single conflict!

PO2 Willis Linn - No, you can not tell where I am coming from. You are making an assumption that I am, in this case, responding to your statement and not your question.
And I need no lesson from you about the rule of law or the Constitution, nor the obligation that I and others have after taking any oath.

From your own comments it shows that you have a belief that the current President is an enemy of the Constitution. What is unfortunate is that there is no proof for your allegation and that you are riding on the coat-tails of those that have actually broken the oath that they have taken.
What is truly sad is that you and many like you are projecting the sins of your idols upon those that you do not like.
It is also telling that you did not answer the question I put to you directly, and I can only come to one conclusion since you are shouting and ranting in response - you are a Democrat. And additionally, that you are uneducated no matter the number of documents stating otherwise.
