I have not been stationed there in over ten years and was wondering where would be the best places to live at? Thanks ahead for any responses. However, I’d prolly live in DuPont cause it’s close. Those are about the only two places I’d live if I went back. I really enjoyed living in that Area. I live in north Lacey and it’s about 20 min to post. If you want to buy a house south Lacey almost Olympia is nice but it is about 30 min w/o traffic. DuPont is officer and senior enlisted heavy for house buying. It’s much closer to post just higher pricing and not always available. I recommend staying south just due to I5 and the traffic in the gate when you head south to get into post. Tacoma is nice but you have more city to deal with. Lakewood/Tillicum is not as clean/nice of an area but close to post. <br />Hope this helps! Lacey is next best choice. Unless u want to be close to Tacoma and that stuff to do. But traffic is HORRIBLE even on weekends no matter where u live. Worse in Tacoma area due to all construction. We live in Lacey. 16 miles from house to Madigan. Easy access on post using back roads vs interstate.
