Looking at your profile, I see you were in A troop 11th ACR. My father was in A troop 11th Cavalry back in 1939-41 on horseback at the Presidio of Monterey. I did my tank time with the 5/32 armor 24th ID in Munich and the 1/68 armor 8th ID at Baumholder.

Well, I was commissioned Armor, and earned my spurs... and the order of the spur in two units... So, I guess I am sorta a DADT and CDAT... SSG Richard Hackwith

You certainly qualify as a tanker. After four years active duty as a tanker, I also ended up in the NG as a MP.

SSG Richard Hackwith Death before dismount!!!! .. I had essentially 3 choices when I applied for OCS... I was a MP in a light infantry brigade in Alaska, at the time... I knew I did not want to walk, especially in the Artic, canons seemed silly, so Armor seemed like a place you would not have to walk. It was the best PL experience I could have ever asked for.

COL Charles Williams - That's right why carry a weapon when your weapon can carry you.
