Had to call moving companies for help at a cost of thousands of $$$. On a fixed income would have loved some volunteers to help a 100% rated veteran in a wheelchair to some point. But, it is a crap shoot if you find help or not just have $$$ either way. Years ago, I was lucky enough to get the High School Wrestling Team to help me move my apartment into a storage unit, before a cross-country move. You can also check to see if your city, county or state has a senoir agency that may know of other resources. Good Luck to you.
