I just got switched over from the 240 to RTO. I had mostly basic gear for the gunner position and was advised to try and get a RTO medium rucksack or a molly ll if you will. Just trying to feel out if anyone has any similiar ideas on a rucksack that i could have a webbing to hold the ASIP while out on patrols or training. We are deploying here in the near future.

You're tracking that the Assault Pack has straps and pouches specifically for this purpose, right?

Yeah, i was looking for one with webbing inside. I checked the one i orginally got at beginning of enlistment and the one we just got for deployment, neither have it.

I know that a lot of times soldiers will buy military gear to make their lives more comfortable and easier to accomplish their missions, but you should not have to buy a rucksack. Your supply should be able to get you the proper equipment. Get with your supply sergeant when you find the one you like and see if he/she can order it for you or if they can do a local purchase.
