I had to get contact through NIPR VOIP to Harris Radios for a PDF manual for their Microwave Stack repeaters, and to Sun Systems for a remote ASIP control head for MRAPS in 09, and I had not only guides and FAQS by the next morning, the companies both sent along free beta hardware and new tech for us to deploy and try out so we could send them suggestions, tweaks and reviews. That stuff arrived 4 weeks after the PDF emails.
