Decent pricing without living in a rough area like Tacoma/Lakewood. You’re better off living on post if you’re a single income house and lower enlisted. Otherwise you’re going to need to drop about $4-5k just to move into a place. Most places are going to run you 1500-2000 a month and they will want first month and a months of rent for security deposit. I lived near and around Steilacoom Lake west of the shopping town center and never had any issues. Stay away north near the borders of Tacoma and def stay away from Tillicum (TilliCompton). Tacoma is too far, unless you work on the McChord side. I’ve heard good and bad things about Lakewood, so I can’t comment there. 1LT Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 29 Oct 2020 21:42:23 -0400 2020-10-29T21:42:23-04:00 2020-10-07T16:06:00-04:00
