Best way to get all of her questions answered and they will also help her complete the packet if she decides that’s the direction she wants to go. Best to get the water straight from the source. For the benefit of Rallypoint:<br /><br />- living accommodations will vary but generally CID Agents will not live in barracks and are entitled to receive BAH and can live on/off post<br />- you receive a civilian clothing allowance and will generally work in civilians (typically business casual) although you will still be required to wear certain uniforms at appropriate times (NCOES Schools, PT tests, etc...)<br />- DO take classes to improve your GT and ST if they are not up to standard<br />- DO keep taking college classes even if you have 60 college credits or a bachelors degree (if you plan on making a career out of CID, a Master&#39;s degree or two should be the goal)<br />- DON&#39;T get in trouble in the military or in the civilian world (while there are waivers, keep in mind, you not only need to convince CID to give you a chance but will be required to obtain and keep a TS-SCI security clearance)<br />- DON&#39;T get too wrapped up on making a decision about CID based solely on what you read or heard from a person that was part of CID or worked with CID, instead make a decision based on your experience. Once you put in your application, you will get the opportunity to undergo an internship while you await a school date and you can shadow CID Agents and question them about everything they do. During your internship, you can see what CID Agents do daily and back out if you decide its not for you. <br /><br />Reddit user scuba_paul did a great write up covering the application process and career trajectory of a CID Agent, <a target="_blank" href="https://www.reddit.com/r/army/comments/2v9ggv/how_to_become_a_31d_cid_special_agent/?ref=share&amp;ref_source=link">https://www.reddit.com/r/army/comments/2v9ggv/how_to_become_a_31d_cid_special_agent/?ref=share&amp;ref_source=link</a> <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default"> <div class="pta-link-card-picture"> <img src="https://d26horl2n8pviu.cloudfront.net/link_data_pictures/images/000/307/459/qrc/l3UE1u0VRukaffUNU-vJizLdoxUUOo8YcfoLMo9E0cA.png?1531493394"> </div> <div class="pta-link-card-content"> <p class="pta-link-card-title"> <a target="blank" href="https://www.reddit.com/r/army/comments/2v9ggv/how_to_become_a_31d_cid_special_agent/?ref=share&amp;ref_source=link">r/army - How to become a 31D - CID Special Agent</a> </p> <p class="pta-link-card-description">28 votes and 44 comments so far on Reddit</p> </div> <div class="clearfix"></div> </div> Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Jul 13 at 2018 10:49 AM 2018-07-13T10:49:54-04:00 2018-07-13T10:49:54-04:00 LTC Stephen C. 3789977 <div class="images-v2-count-1"><div class="content-picture image-v2-number-1" id="image-251806"> <div class="social_icons social-buttons-on-image"> <a href='https://www.facebook.com/sharer/sharer.php?u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rallypoint.com%2Fanswers%2Fwhere-can-i-find-information-about-cid-e-g-living-accommodations-daily-life-do-s-and-don-ts%3Futm_source%3DFacebook%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_campaign%3DShare%20to%20facebook' target="_blank" class='social-share-button facebook-share-button'><i class="fa fa-facebook-f"></i></a> <a href="https://twitter.com/intent/tweet?text=Where+can+I+find+information+about+CID+%28e.g.+living+accommodations%2C+daily+life%2C+do%E2%80%99s+and+don%E2%80%99ts%29%3F&amp;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.rallypoint.com%2Fanswers%2Fwhere-can-i-find-information-about-cid-e-g-living-accommodations-daily-life-do-s-and-don-ts&amp;via=RallyPoint" target="_blank" class="social-share-button twitter-custom-share-button"><i class="fa fa-twitter"></i></a> <a href="mailto:?subject=Check this out on RallyPoint!&body=Hi, I thought you would find this interesting:%0D%0AWhere can I find information about CID (e.g. living accommodations, daily life, do’s and don’ts)?%0D%0A %0D%0AHere is the link: https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/where-can-i-find-information-about-cid-e-g-living-accommodations-daily-life-do-s-and-don-ts" target="_blank" class="social-share-button email-share-button"><i class="fa fa-envelope"></i></a> </div> <a class="fancybox" rel="bd9c8821556a930055f1d8f5b0f5cb8b" href="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/251/806/for_gallery_v2/cdf81ab2.jpg"><img src="https://d1ndsj6b8hkqu9.cloudfront.net/pictures/images/000/251/806/large_v3/cdf81ab2.jpg" alt="Cdf81ab2" /></a></div></div>No idea, <a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="150912" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/150912-56m-chaplain-assistant-23rd-beb-1st-sbct-former-3rd-sbct-2nd-id">SPC(P) Private RallyPoint Member</a>, but I flipped your profile pic for you.
