Where can I find TAC (Tactical Command Post) doctrinal information and/or SOPs? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/where-can-i-find-tac-tactical-command-post-doctrinal-information-and-or-sops

I was just named the TAC OIC for my unit while I wait for a platoon to open up. I want to root myself in some doctrinal knowledge IOT build my own SOP. I cannot pin point a manual that gives this information for the life of me. Also, if there is anyone with an SOP that they previously used, I would love to take a look. Thanks in advance! Its all pieces and parts. My last duty was the 1CD G3 SGM, as part of the the D Main and D Toc and forward Tac were all mine. further last deployment to afghanistan , As we were the command element for RC East, I ran the Joint Tactical Operations center as the SGM.. Its all Unit level SOP, and then your war fighting functions and operations process are based on individual and specific doctrine, over all you build your SOP for the specific unit as it is, not as it was planned, for the mission you have, not what a book says it should be. Trying to implement your own SOP in any position when not "in-theater" is just going to jack your subordinates and your unit up and lead to an overwhelmingly negative bullet on your OER.
More importantly we don't actually have TAC TTPs... because they're contextual. Third party sources like Rand will have offerings relevant to Current OPs but they want money in exchange for access.
Your best bet is to ask your outgoing OIC to blast your their standards and change a few words here and there, particularly in their Statement of Intent (SOI) then just leave it to your NCOs to get SHI(r)T done and take credit for the results. If you try anything else you're going to get destroyed by your rater. SPC Private RallyPoint Member Fri, 23 Sep 2016 00:29:08 -0400 2016-09-23T00:29:08-04:00 2016-09-08T19:36:23-04:00
