Where can these MOS go? And are they worth it? 2020-06-04T19:51:16-04:00 SGT Private RallyPoint Member 5970543

Anyone have any information on 35P , 15N or 94G deciding what I should reclass too? Doesn't take more than like 6 weeks. A lot more may be available, plus there's always packet MOS'. While they are extremely interesting MOSes, I was severely disappointed when I first joined. I had a very strong electronics background and was allowed to CLEP through most of my 94F course. However, I soon realized you aren’t allowed to work on virtually anything; the warranty contracts that the Army signs make sure of that. Additionally, the promotions were absolutely painful due to the BCT realignment. However, only choose to reclass to something you want to do, so if it is your dream then go for it.

35P is a very interesting and diverse MOS, but there are a lot of requirements. You need to have a 110 GT; if you do not yet, then proceed to FAST class. You’ll also need to take the DLAB at an Army Testing Center and score anywhere between 95-110 (language is allocated by a category level between CAT I-IV as determined by how remote it is from English, in increments of five). There are a lot of requirements, and the training is very long depending on what language you get. If you can get the MOS the bonuses are good and you get a lot of training that would be useful later on as a civilian. Especially if you maintain your language and clearance. I was one and loved being able to go to DLI. It is not easy by any means, but it is an incredible experience. Do your best to get deployed (volunteering to go airborne or air assault helps), and you will be incredibly valuable once you leave the military. There are classes to improve your GT score and resources to give you an idea what the DLAB is like. Most likely you'll end up at Ft. Meade. Everyone I went to DLI with ended up there at some point. I went elsewhere first because I was airborne.
