Where can you find Electronic Warfare jobs in the civilian market?

I am looking for jobs on the civilian side or uniformed in the EW field. I graduated 29E basic last year and have spent the last year looking for jobs to get into. Apparently it's a small market. I'm really looking to stay in my local area (Tampa, Fl), so any leads or info would be outstanding. Thanks in advance for any help!!

Your going to need to branch out into the IT field if you want to work in the civilian world, there simply isn't a lot of tolerance for corporations denying use of the electromagnetic spectrum to their competitors. That said, your experience might be useful if you focused on something like wireless networks. I would look at U.S. Southern Command which is based in Doral, Florida if I were in your shoes.

Private IT security will be a big deal. You may need to get a 2 or 4 year degree to augment your skill base, but network encryption might go well

SSG(P) Private RallyPoint Member When I worked at CENTCOM in Tampa, we had a couple of Navy EW's that had gotten out. The buffed up with network security and IT certificates, and were hired by one of the contractors working there. I wish I remember the names and companies, but the brain cells aren't working like they used to. If I were you, head to the Personnel office and see if they have any leads that you can talk to. Hope it works out for you buddy!

They do alot of EW in Maryland but most of the jobs are electrical engineers or something more than just the material in 29E course
