Where can you find memorabilia related to Navy ships? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/where-can-you-find-memorabilia-related-to-navy-ships

My dad was in the Navy in the 1970s aboard the USS Camden (AOE-2). Doing a google search for pictures of the ship I saw things like hats, patches, and coffee mugs related to the ship (which was decommissioned in 2005 and then scrapped in 2008). Where can I look to find things like that? His birthday is coming up and I'd like to try and get something related for him. That said, I've been looking for a replacement USS SHREVEPORT ballcap for some time without luck.

The mugs are more difficult, unless you have one "special made"...and these days, who knows what that entails? Ours (as I recall) were provided by an off-ship vendor working with the Fleet, kinda "Jostens" style (http://www.milart.com). There are several FACEBOOK sites for the ship. There most likely is some sort of association or alumni organization who is organizing the reunion. Get in contact with them. They may have a 'ships store' CPO Mark B. I did find key chains, lighters, cups, and the other assorted items for sailors who were shipmates on the USS Camdem....good luck! A lot of ships were refitted and sent to Vietnam for service. My uncle's ship the USS Chicago had different guns on her decks and then they were scrapped and ASROC missiles where mounted on her decks. http://www.alamy.com/stock-photo/uss-camden-aoe-2.html

Uss Camden Aoe 2 Stock Photos & Uss Camden Aoe 2 Stock Images - Alamy

Find the perfect uss camden aoe 2 stock photo.
