If it is, it's a small house with a yard and one bedroom....Response by CW3 Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 5 at 2019 8:39 PM2019-08-05T20:39:27-04:002019-08-05T20:39:27-04:00SGT Ej P.4886222<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>For a new Soldier with a family, I suggest you stay on post. You don't have excuse to be late or go home for lunch or emergencies - most of the time. Plus, everything is accessible in case there is a lock down or something.Response by SGT Ej P. made Aug 6 at 2019 1:24 AM2019-08-06T01:24:14-04:002019-08-06T01:24:14-04:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member4886780<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Staying on post will definitely help you, especially if you have a young child and a wife. That could help with transportation and less living expenses. Be mindful that you have to budget around your base pay if you do stay on post, as the Army will keep your Basic Housing Allowance (BAH). You won’t have to worry about housing cost and utilities if you choose to live on post.Response by CPT Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 6 at 2019 6:52 AM2019-08-06T06:52:45-04:002019-08-06T06:52:45-04:00MAJ(P) Private RallyPoint Member4888206<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>They have apartments on post now 1-3 bdrooms or maybe it is 1-2. While stationed there I lived in ravenwood (between 2 gates). Many many soldiers in my unit had atrocious experiences with belfoir Beatty (the on post housing contractors). <br /><br />I am an early riser and would hit the gym before pt so I didn’t typically deal with any gate traffic, I never had issues getting back and forth on lunch. There is really only one road that leads out of housing and I’ve heard it’s just as bad as gate traffic, they open community gates so soldiers can drive off post from housing to use gates Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Aug 19 at 2019 10:36 PM2019-08-19T22:36:35-04:002019-08-19T22:36:35-04:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member5318817<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Just not holtzman real estate because their gonna bleed all of your security deposit when u move out even if nothing was damagedResponse by SSG Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 7 at 2019 6:31 PM2019-12-07T18:31:24-05:002019-12-07T18:31:24-05:002019-08-05T20:05:38-04:00
