Where’s a good area to rent around Fort Stewart?

This is going to be my first assignment as E-2 where will be a good and affordable area around post I’m marry and 1 year old baby any help will be gladly appreciated

See if 507 Fraser Drive in Hinesville is available to rent. If it is, it's a small house with a yard and one bedroom....

For a new Soldier with a family, I suggest you stay on post. You don't have excuse to be late or go home for lunch or emergencies - most of the time. Plus, everything is accessible in case there is a lock down or something.

Staying on post will definitely help you, especially if you have a young child and a wife. That could help with transportation and less living expenses. Be mindful that you have to budget around your base pay if you do stay on post, as the Army will keep your Basic Housing Allowance (BAH). You won’t have to worry about housing cost and utilities if you choose to live on post.

They have apartments on post now 1-3 bdrooms or maybe it is 1-2. That’s where u should stay. Community of folks to help out if needed and also close to work not dealing with gate traffic. Do not live off post in Hinesville, esp as a PV2

I recommend living off base. While stationed there I lived in ravenwood (between 2 gates). Many many soldiers in my unit had atrocious experiences with belfoir Beatty (the on post housing contractors).

I am an early riser and would hit the gym before pt so I didn’t typically deal with any gate traffic, I never had issues getting back and forth on lunch. There is really only one road that leads out of housing and I’ve heard it’s just as bad as gate traffic, they open community gates so soldiers can drive off post from housing to use gates

Just not holtzman real estate because their gonna bleed all of your security deposit when u move out even if nothing was damaged
