Where's the rest of the small percentage of people that use an office suite that's NOT Microsoft Office?

Haha I just answered your other question but I've toyed with this as well. I used mozilla suite for some time. The problem always come back to compatibility. I've used about 4 other options, but never had success making things seamless when having to go back to office to share with someone else. I use google docs occasionally still now, especially if sharing something with my wife on her mac. Makes it a little easier. I do like open office.

I used to use Open Office religiously, most because it was free and fairly compatible with only minor formatting and calculation/formula issues.

However, I recently recommended it to a friend of mine and when he downloaded it he also got a lot of malware/bloatware.

Consider this though - why use others when you can get office for $10 if you're military or a government employee?

I do use Mozilla Foxit Reader for PDFs usually at home though.

I use Open Office on a regular basis on my Win95 and WinXP machines. I also use Open Office on my Linux desktop machines. I do use MS Office at work and on my Win7 and Win10 machines at home.

I use MS Office for work, but for my personal uses I use Google Docs for my non-profit work and OpenOffice for things internal to my house.

Why? Beats me. It just seems that I need to have something resident on my Win10 box so I have OpenOffice.

It would have been great if you had an other option SGT Private RallyPoint Member. I primarily use MS Office for Word, Email, and Powerpoint. I still use an ancient Lotus Suite copy of 1-2-3 for some spreadsheets with Excel for others. I use Google Chrome much more that Internet Explorer as well. I went backwards for Windows and Microsoft Office so that I am using Windows 7 Ultimate operating system and MS Office 2007.

I try to use LO/OO whenever possible.
However having a bazillion MS Office users sort of forces the hand.

I used Libre Office, it's free and better than Open Office in my opinion, but military members can get Microsoft Office 2016 for only $10-$20.
