I'm a 25U and I hit 17 years in April. I'm married with 6 kids. I asked for Fort Campbell but was turned down. So I have to choose one of these options before one is chosen for me. I was really trying to grow some roots in the Fort Campbell area.

Did you discuss with branch the possibility of taking the Korea tour and getting Fort Campbell once you return? You could settle the wife and kids at Fort Campbell, do the Korea gig and then finish up your career at Campbell. I don't know if they still do that but it's worth asking.

Fort Bliss is really a nice post with an actual metropolitan area immediately outside the gates. Unit quality varies, but the garrison command really works to make quality of life a plus.

I was stationed at Fort Bliss and would go back if it was offered. Units do vary, but its a lot nicer and family friendly installation than most. House's aren't expensive, schools are pretty good, and hopefully you enjoy traveling, cause there is plenty to travel too.
